I myself am a Grey Fox, I share its unique talents for being able to swiftly climb through the bows of tree limbs and lay to rest in them at ease for hours on end, and this small canine is the only type other than the Asian Raccoon-Dog who has such abilities. I am also small and quite slender for my sex and age, like all grey foxes, they are the smallest in the fox family. The Grey Fox is also well known for its unique coat patterns, marked with blacks and gold’s about its charcoal grey pelt. I myself have always favored unique dress, and am well known for it, making my outer shell similar symbolically to that of the Grey Fox. This also comes into play with the endangered nature of the Grey Fox, I myself am what one would call a “rare breed”, I find few and far between even close to my personality or style. My eating habits also follow that of the grey fox, where most canines are carnivorous, the Grey Fox is an omnivore, where most would say this is not a valid point of connection, I have my arguments. First off, many humans choose the path of vegetarian, and I know some who only eat meat as well, but beside the point, I dine on similar food sources as this creature. I love wild game like rabbit, squirrel, frog, quail, and other exotic foods. I also enjoy snacking on seeds, berries, and nuts that would be available to this creature in the wild. “The gray fox supplements its diet with whatever fruits are readily available and generally eats more vegetable matter than does the Red Fox. (Wikipedia) “Like this animal, I am also swift and have keen senses by nature. I can hear and feel an approaching life form from a rodent to a human before anyone else can. I also pose a unique sense of smell and physical vibe sensing, allowing me to pick up on things before they are able to be noticed by the average individual. Along with the many reasons, the Grey Fox’s preferred climate and lifestyle fit with mine as well. I do best in the heat, like the Grey Fox I love hot days and basking in the sun and on hot ground to warm my body. I also am more active at night, it’s something I have never been able to control, but I have always needed to be awake at night, always have been active both physically and mentally when the moon was out and the night breeze was blowing. |
